Notice on the Registration for the “2026 Co-Making the Future—China-U.S. Young Maker Competition” Wenzhou Regional Selection

2026中美青年创客大赛(2026China-U.S. Young Maker Competition),是由中华人民共和国教育部主办,该赛项已纳入“全国普通高校学科竞赛排行榜”。大赛将分为中国、美国两个赛区,其中中国赛区包括北京、天津、上海、南京、厦门、成都、西安、温州、沈阳、苏州、武汉、深圳、杭州、海口等中国分赛区,美国赛区包括东部、西部等赛区,赛区数量以最终公布为准。温州分赛区自2016年设立以来,浙江工贸职业技术学院已承办了十届比赛,得到了各界的一致认可。为做好2026年中美青年创客大赛温州分赛区选拔赛工作,现将有关事项通知如下:

The 2026China-U.S. Young Maker Competitionishosted by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, and included in the“National Ranking of Discipline Competitions for Higher Education Institutions”. The competition will be divided into two regions: China and the United States. The China region includes subvenues in Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Nanjing, Xiamen, Chengdu, Xi’an, Wenzhou, Shenyang, Suzhou, Wuhan, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, and Haikou. The U.S. region includes sub-venues such as the East and West Coasts. The final number of subvenues is subject to the official announcement. Since the establishment of Wenzhou Region in 2016, it has been successfully hosted by Zhejiang Industry & Trade Vocational College fortenconsecutive years, earning wide recognition from all sectors of society. To facilitate the conduct of the 2026Wenzhou Region Selection, the following notices are hereby announced:

二、参赛资格及要求

II. Qualifications and Requirements

中美青年创客大赛对任何中国公民或美国公民、或在中国或美国获得永久合法居留权的个人开放。报名者年龄应在大赛报名起始日时符合18周岁以上或40周岁以下的要求(2026年大赛要求报名者出生日期不早于1986年6月1日并且不晚于2008年6月1日)。2026年中美青年创客大赛分为主赛道与职业院校分赛道(分赛道仅针对中国赛区)。

The competition is open to any Chinese or American citizen, or any individuals holding permanent legal residency in China or the United States. Applicants should be at least 18 and under 40 years old as of the competition registration (for the 2026 competition, applicants must have been born no earlier than June 1, 1986, and no later than June 1, 2008.).The 2026China-U.S. Young Maker Competition is divided into a main track and a vocational college track (the vocational track is available in the China Region only).

(1)以团队形式报名时,团队总人数不得超过5人(含领队),领队为团队的联系人和代表;

a. When registering as a team, each team shall have no more than 5 members (including the team leader), and the team leader serves as the contact person and representative of the team.

(2)鼓励主赛道中、美两国选手联合组队;

b. Joint teams of Chinese and U.S. participants are encouraged in the main track.

(3)中国分赛区职业院校分赛道团队成员三分之二(含)以上均需为职业院校全日制在读或毕业学生(且须满足:2人团队需2人,3人团队至少2人,4人团队至少3人来自职业院校,以此类推),美国分赛区职业院校分赛道学生需为社区学院在读或毕业学生。

c.For the Vocational College Sub-track in the China region, at least two-thirds (inclusive) of the team members must be full-time vocational college students or graduates (with the following specific requirements: a 2person team requires 2 vocational college members; a 3person team requires at least 2; a 4person team requires at least 3; and so on proportionally). For the U.S. division, students participating in the Vocational College Sub-track must be current or graduated students from community colleges.

(4)分赛区选拔赛开始前,团队可替换一位或多位成员,领队不可更换

d. Before the start of the Sub-Competition Region Selection, teams can replace one or more members,but the team leader cannot be replaced.

(5)一名参赛者只可以个人或团队形式参与到一个项目之中;

e. Each participant can only participate in one project, whether as an individual or as part of a team.

(6)每个参赛项目可至多有一位指导老师,指导老师不得再以领队或者成员身份参赛;

f. Each project can have at most one guiding teacher, who cannot serve as a team leader or member.

(7)参赛个人或团队需在报名时签署中美青年创客大赛参赛者声明,报名成功后则视为参赛个人或团队完全接受本大赛参赛者声明(详见章程附件3:中美青年创客大赛参赛者声明);

g. Individual participants or teams must sign the China-U.S. Young Maker Competition Participant Declaration when registering. Successful registration constitutes full acceptance of the competition declaration (see Attachment3: China-U.S. Young Maker Competition Participant Declaration).

(8)本大赛不收取报名费。

h. There is no registration fee for this competition.

三、大赛主题

. Theme of the Event

大赛以“共创未来”为主题,探索韧性社区、环境教育、低碳环保、食物系统、危机应对、公共卫生、健康福祉、清洁能源、气候变化、绿色交通、循环经济等领域的创新机遇,结合未来思维和设计创新,运用前沿科技和开源工具,打造兼具社会意义和产业价值的“全新产品原型”。鼓励参赛选手应对人工智能的新趋势,开发前瞻性解决方案,推进社会数智化转型,助力全球可持续发展。

The theme of the competition is “Co-Creating the Future”. It invites particippants to explore innovation opportunities in fields such as resilient communities, environmental education, low-carbon initiatives, food systems, crisis response, public health, health and well-being, clean energy, climate change, green transportation, and the circular economy.By integrating future-thinking design, cutting-edge technology, and open-source tools, participants are challenged to create “new product prototypes” with both social impact and industrial value. Participants are also encouraged to address emerging trends in artificial intelligence,develop forward-looking solutions, promote the digital-intelligent transformation of society, and contribute to global sustainable development.

四、作品要求

IV.Entry Requirements

1.参赛作品要求Requirements for the Entries

(1)主题要求:参赛项目须围绕大赛主题“共创未来”展开,聚焦大赛主题所述议题中的具体挑战,提出切实可行的创新解决方案。参赛项目须以“全新产品原型”为呈现形式,能够清晰阐明所解决的社会或技术问题,并体现跨文化合作视角。大赛鼓励参赛者主动回应人工智能带来的新机遇,将前沿科技与开源工具融入创新实践,推动社会数智化转型和可持续发展。

(1) Theme Requirements: Entries must be center on the competition theme “CoCreating the Future,” focusing on specific challenges within the topics described under the competition theme and proposing feasible and innovative solutions. All entries must be presented in the form of a “brandnew product prototype,” that clearly articulates the social or technical problem it addresses and reflects a crosscultural collaboration perspective. The competition encourages participants to leverage new opportunities brought by artificial intelligence, integrating cuttingedge technology and opensource tools into their innovation practices to promote digital and intelligent transformation of society as well as sustainable development.

(2)竞赛创新性要求:“参赛作品需要提供科技查新报告”。大赛注重创客精神,鼓励创新与原创。参赛项目需解决未被充分探索的问题或提出全新解决方案,不能与往届参赛项目或市场现有方案重复。参赛项目须为团队近一年内(2025年总决赛结束至2026年总决赛开始)新创作及未公开发表的作品,能清晰展示分赛区线下选拔赛过程中团队或个人的工作量及进步,提交的作品须在社会及技术层面上实现创新。参赛作品须是在本次大赛分赛区报名日之前和大赛举办期间未经商业化、产品未量产及销售、未获得商业性投资(包括但不限于风险投资机构、天使投资机构、私募基金等投资性的资助、奖励、借贷或股权性投资)、未获得政府政策性投资。

分赛区选拔推荐参加总决赛的团队项目应未曾进入往届中美青年创客大赛总决赛、未曾在往届教育部认可的全国大学生A类学科竞赛名单的赛事中获得省级(含)以上奖项。大赛工作组和各分赛区选拔赛承办机构将严格对参赛作品进行创新性检索,如发现不符合竞赛章程的作品,将取消其参赛资格。

(2) Innovation Requirements:“A sci-tech novelty search report must be submitted with the entry.”Rooted in the maker spirit,the competition prizes innovation and originality. Entries must tackle underexplored problems or propose geniunely new solutions, and may not duplicate previous competition entries or existing market solutions. The entry must be a newly created and unpublished works completed by the team within the past year (from the close of the 2025 finals to the start of the 2026 finals), and clearly demonstrate the team’s or individual’s effort and progress during the offline regional selection. Submissions must reflect innovation at both the social and technical levels. The entry must not have been commercialized, massproduced, or sold prior to the sub-venue registration date or during the competition period; must not have received commercial investment (including but not limited to venture capital, angel investment, private equity funds, or any other form of investmentbased funding, grants, loans, or equity investment); and must not have received government policybased investment.

Projects recommended by sub-venues for the national finals must not have previously advanced to the finals of any past ChinaU.S. Young Maker Competition, nor have won provinciallevel (or above) awards in any past competition included in the Ministry of Education's list of National ACategory University Discipline Competitions. The competition working group and sub-venue organizers will strictly conduct novelty checks on all entries. Any entry found to violate the competition rules will be disqualified.

(3)作品呈现要求:参赛者须在分赛区选拔赛阶段完成作品设计工作,制作可演示的产品原型,且能够充分证明作品的核心工作是由团队或个人独立完成的,而非实验室或研究机构多年研究成果。作品原型应体现可实现的社会创新或技术创新功能,并具备明确的应用场景和可交互载体形态,能够通过真实或模拟情境展现其运行逻辑与价值路径。鼓励展示项目的设计、验证与迭代过程(如设计草图、过程方案、测试记录),体现创客持续探索与实践改进的精神,而非仅呈现最终成果。最终参加决赛的原型或模型应尺度恰当,适合在比赛场地展示、组装和搬运。晋级决赛的团队须在决赛阶段完成产品原型的改进、升级和测试,提升系统完整性与实现质量。

(3) Presentation Requirements: Participants must complete their design of their work during the division selection stage and produce a demonstrable product prototype that sufficiently proves the core work was completed independently by the team or individual, rather than being derived from pre-existing research outcomes of a laboratory or research institution. The prototype should embody achievable social or technological innovation functions, have clear application scenarios, and take an interactive physical form capable of demonstrating its operational logic and value pathway through real or simulated contexts. Teams are encouraged to present the design, validation, and iteration process of their project (e.g., design sketches, alternative solutions, test records), reflecting the maker spirit of continuous exploration and practical improvement, rather than merely showcasing the final outcome. The final prototype or model submitted to the finals should be of appropriate size, suitable for display, assembly, and transport at the competition venue. Teams advancing to the finals must complete the improvement, upgrade, and testing of their product prototype during the final stage, enhancing system integrity and implementation quality.

(4)技术平台要求:参赛作品鼓励采用开源技术、依托开放标准或经合法授权的技术方案,并确保技术来源清晰、合规。项目可自主选择技术平台与工具,应结合具体应用载体和系统环境实现功能,优先考虑通用或兼容性良好的硬件环境,以增强方案的可扩展性、可复制性与可推广性,推动开放共享与协同创新的创客生态建设。

(4) Technical Platform Requirements: Entries are encouraged to adopt open-source technologies, rely on open standards or legally authorized technical solutions, and ensure that the sources of technology are clear and compliant. Teams may freely choose their technical platforms and tools, and should implement functionalities based on specific application carriers and system environments. Preference should be given to hardware environments that are general-purpose or have good compatibility, so as to enhance the scalability, replicability, andbroader applicabilityof the solution, thereby promoting an open, shared, and collaborative maker ecosystem.

2.知识产权要求Requirements for Intellectual Property Rights

(1)参赛作品须是团队自主研发拥有完全知识产权的创新成果(如创新成果涉及到相关专利,参赛者须是第一作者),不能是依托于高校、研究机构、企事业单位已有的技术成果。如果参赛作品直接或间接使用到参赛者所属高校、研究机构、企事业单位相关专利或还未确权和公开的技术成果,必须明确声明,并获得专利权人或者主管领导的书面授权。

a. All entries must represent original innovations independently developed by the participating teams with full intellectual property rights (if the innovation involves patents, participants must be the first-named inventors). Entries must not rely on pre-existing technological achievements from universities, research institutions, or corporate entities. If an entry directly or indirectly utilizes patents or undisclosed/unverified technological assets affiliated with the participants’ universities, research institutions, or employers, a formal declaration is required, along with written authorization from the patent holder or relevant supervisory written consent.

(2)参赛者必须保证作品的原创性,不得侵犯任何第三方的知识产权或其他权利,且内容符合可适用的法律、法规(包括但不限于中华人民共和国、美利坚合众国的相关法律、法规)。参赛者同意对因侵犯第三方知识产权或其他权利而导致的请求和索赔负全部责任,并保护比赛的主办方、承办方及其代理人并为其辩解,使其不受任何损失赔偿的请求或追诉。

b. Participants must guarantee the originality of their entries and must not infringe any third party’s intellectual property or other rights. Also, all content should comply with applicable laws and regulations (including but not limited to those of the People’s Republic of China and the United States of America). Participants agree to take full responsibility for any claims or demands arising from the infringement of third-party intellectual property or other rights, and hold harmless the competition hosts, organizers and their agents from any losses, claims or prosecutions.

(3)参赛作品的知识产权归参赛者所有,但应适当兼顾到大赛主办和承办单位的权益。中华人民共和国教育部作为大赛主办单位,中国(教育部) 留学服务中心、清华大学、北京歌华传媒集团有限责任公司、上海市张江科学城建设管理办公室、和美有关合作方作为大赛承办单位,拥有在全世界范围内永久免费使用本届参赛作品进行演示、部分或全部出版的权利(在不涉及核心技术秘密及商业机密的前提下),大赛承办单位的其他全资子公司也拥有上述权利。如果大赛承办单位以其他目的使用参赛作品,需与参赛团队协商,经参赛团队同意后,签署有关对参赛作品使用的协议。

(3) The intellectual property rights of the entries belong to the participants, but due consideration shall be given to the rights and interests of the competition sponsors and organizers. The Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, as host, and the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE), Tsinghua University, Beijing Gehua Media Group Co., Ltd., Shanghai Zhangjiang Science City Construction and Management Office, and U.S. partners, as the organizers, hold the perpetual, royaltyfree right to use the entries this year’s competition worldwide for demonstration purposes, as well as to publish them in part or in full (excluding core technical secrets or commercial confidentiality). Other whollyowned subsidiaries of the competition organizers also hold the aforementioned rights. Any use the entries for other purposes requires prior negotiation with and written consent from the participating team.

(4)在可适用的法律允许范围内,大赛工作组保留本规则的最终解释权。

d. Within the extent permitted by applicable law, the competition working group reserves the final interpretation right of these rules.

温州分赛区初赛:采用网络评审的形式,评审完成后,公布进入决赛的团队,即25组(主赛道含中美联队)和8~12组(分赛道)。

Wenzhou Sub-Venue Region Preliminary Round (online review): After the review is completed, the teams advancing to the finals will be announced: 25 teams (Main Track, including China-U.S. joint teams) and 8–12 teams (Sub-track).

第三阶段:2026年6月12至6月14日

Phase 3:June12 to 14, 2026

温州分赛区决赛。

六、奖项设置

VI. Awards

本赛区选拔赛评审委员会在初赛入围的25支(主赛道含中美联队)和8~12支(分赛道)团队中评审出获奖名次。参赛者在比赛中的得分将按照从高到低的顺序排列,以确定以下奖项的获得者:

The regional selection committee will determine the winning rankings among the 25 shortlisted (including the Sino-US joint teamsin the main track) and 8~12 (sub-track) teams from the preliminary round. Teams will be ranked by score in descending to determine the awards recipients:

主赛道:1.一等奖1名,奖金10000元;

2.二等奖2名,奖金5000元;

3.三等奖4名,奖金3000元。

其余入围团队为优秀奖。

Main Track:

1st Prize (1 team): RMB ¥10,000

2nd Prize (2 teams): RMB ¥5,000

3rd Prize (4teams): RMB ¥3,000

The remaining shortlisted teams will receive Excellence Award.

分赛道:1.一等奖1名,奖金10000元;

2.二等奖2名,奖金5000元;

3.三等奖2名,奖金3000元。

其余入围团队为优秀奖。

Sub-track:

1st Prize (1 team): RMB ¥10,000

Matters not specified herein shall be governed by the2026China-U.S. Young Maker Competition Rules. The Organizing Committeeof the China-U.S. Young Maker Competition Wenzhou Sub-Venue serves the right of final interpretationof the selection competition rules and related matters.
